A Journey of Creativity, ingenuity, and perpetual discovery.
I’ve always believed that the best creative journeys are rarely linear—they twist, evolve, and surprise you along the way. Mine began in the world of design studios, where I first learned the foundations of craft and composition. From there, I stepped into the high-energy world of advertising, landing at one of Houston’s most prestigious agencies. For the next decade, I sharpened my skills across a variety of accounts, learning how to think fast, push boundaries, and build brands with intention.
Then came an opportunity that would change the trajectory of my career. Among my agency clients was the Houston Museum of Natural Science, a place that fascinated me from the start. A few years and a few agencies later, I found myself on the other side of the table—hired as part of the museum’s in-house marketing team. My career had come full circle.
At HMNS, I had the rare privilege of shaping the creative expression of an institution I admired. My role encompassed everything—advertising, design, branding—across every museum venue, department, and special exhibit. The fast pace of agency life hadn’t disappeared; in fact, it had intensified. Every other month brought new exhibits, each with its own identity, challenges, and storytelling needs. With limited budgets but limitless imagination, I learned to be resourceful, adaptable, and fearless in my approach. Over time, I rose to Creative Director, leading a team that thrived on the museum’s ever-changing landscape.
My years at HMNS were filled with some of the most rewarding creative collaborations of my career. I worked alongside illustrators, writers, filmmakers, animators, and sound designers—people whose talents and perspectives broadened my own. I lived in a space where strategy met artistry, where the challenge was always to make something unforgettable.
After 21 years, I stepped away, taking time to reset and refocus my creative path. True to form, I immersed myself in learning, earning a UI design certification—not out of necessity, but because I believe staying relevant means staying curious.
That curiosity led me to Insperity, where I now serve as Director of Creative and Design. Here, I lead a team of designers, writers, and videographers within the company’s full-service, in-house marketing agency. Since joining in 2021, I’ve strengthened the creative impact of the department, delivering award-winning work, developing metric-driven content, and launching a brand awareness campaign that elevated our market presence. I’ve also redefined the creative standards for company events, raising the bar on execution and engagement. The challenge of balancing agency agility with corporate scale has been exactly the kind of creative puzzle I thrive on.
My portfolio highlights work from my time at HMNS—projects where I was fully hands-on, shaping every aspect from concept to completion. These pieces reflect not only my design expertise but also my ability to bring ideas to life through strategy, storytelling, and execution.
Through it all, one thing has remained constant: my passion for creating. Whether shaping a brand, crafting a campaign, or elevating a team’s creative vision, I believe in pushing for work that is thoughtful, engaging, and built to last.
